Long An International Port is one of the projects in a total 1.935ha master project to develop the lower area of Long An Province. The master project includes:

Long An International Port has the total area of 147 ha and will be constructed in 3 phase with more than 9,000 billion VND of investment. Long An International Port has 7 berths with the total length of 1,670m that are capable of receiving 30,000 – 50,000 DWT vessels. Besides that, Long An International Port also has 4 barge docks that can serve 2,000 DWT barges. Long An International Port will be one of the largest seaports in the South of Vietnam when completed in 2023.
Long An International Port is strategically located in between South East and South West of Vietnam, 38km away from Ho Chi Minh City via National Route 50. Long An International Port will not only reduce the pressure for HCM Port System but also the logistics cost for customers in the Mekong Delta.
Long An International Port can connect with these regions easily both by road and waterway.

Long An International Port is invested in 3 phases with the total capital of 9 trillion VND (About 400 million USD).
Long An International Port completed the first phase worths 2.3 trillion VND (About 100 million USD). Important infrastructures and equipment such as berth Number 1 (LAIP-01) and 40-ton shore crane are ready to operate and can be able to serve 30.000 DWT vessels. The berth Number 2 (LAIP-02) is currently under construction, and is expected to serve 50.000 DWT vessels when completed in Q2 2018.
With the 3 phases planning, Long An International Port can operate and continue to be built at the same time. This strategy will help Long An International Port ensure the rotation of capital and generate revenue right in the process of construction.

Long An International Port with modern facilities and equipment will improve the cargo handling speed and reduce the logistics cost for customers. At present, Long An International Port is concentrating on handling break bulk cargo so it has invested many equipment to improve capacity.
