Job Description
- Schedule vessel arrivals and maintain close communication with maritime authorities, pilot companies, and tug service providers to ensure smooth and safe berthing of vessels.
- Oversee pre-loading plans of vessels and ensure they are executed according to the shipping line’s and Director’s loading instructions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and supervise yard planning to resolve any issues, ensuring efficient yard utilization, and minimizing congestion or incidents.
- Assign tasks to vessel and barge planning staff based on the number of personnel required for operations.
- Create vessel entries in the system and record all relevant information for future reference.
- Monitor work processes and make process improvement recommendations to the Head of Planning Department.
- Participate in vessel and barge planning when necessary and support tasks for absent employees to ensure tight control over operations.
- Report directly to the Head of Planning Department.
- Manage safety and ensure the effective implementation of safety rules within controlled areas.
- Take action on reported hazards, ensure safety measures are incorporated into planning processes and performance management, conduct inspections, and rectify any violations.
- Reinforce correct safety behavior, report all hazards and incidents, and complete assigned actions.
Requirement
- Preferably male, aged 25–35.
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime or Transportation.
- Over 2 years of experience at a container port or shipping line in a supervisory or vessel management position.
- Strong knowledge of vessel stowage, maritime conditions, tides, yard planning, and control.
- Proficiency in Vietnamese and English.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and terminal operating systems.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
