Long An International Port (Vietnam) and Laem Chabang Port (Thailand) held a cooperation meeting in Bangkok, Thailand on November 1, 2023. The meeting was attended by the two ports’ respective boards of directors led by Mr. Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of Long An Port JSC, and Ms. Nguyen Thuy Quynh Huong, Chairwoman of Long An International Port Operation & Management JSC together with representatives of Dongtam Group and Long An International Port. From Laem Chabang Port’s side, their delegation was led by Mr. Tienchai Makthiengtrong, Laem Chabang Port’s Office of Support Services Administration Director.

The meeting was organized with the aim of strengthening relations and boosting trade connectivity between Vietnam and Thailand as key markets of the ASEAN region.

At the cooperation meeting, the two sides had the opportunity to share ongoing developments about their ports and current import-export volumes between Thailand and Vietnam. Long An International Port provides full-package port and logistics services, located in a strategic location in the Mekong Delta region, about 38 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. Laem Chabang Port is the largest port in Thailand, located in the southeastern part of the country.

Mr. Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of Long An Port Joint Stock Company, said: “This cooperation meeting is a significant step forward in the relationship between Long An International Port and Laem Chabang Port. We believe that this cooperation will contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam and Thailand.”

Mr. Tienchai Makthiengtrong, Laem Chabang Port’s Office of Support Services Administration Director, added: “We are very pleased to cooperate with Long An International Port. We believe that this cooperation will benefit both sides, as well as the development of trade between Vietnam and Thailand.”

The cooperation meeting was successfully concluded, opening a new phase of cooperation between Long An International Port and Laem Chabang Port, with the common objective of providing improved services and optimizing overall costs for customers.
