On July 31, 2025, Long An International Port participated in the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (VILOG 2025), strongly reaffirming its commitment to green and sustainable development. The port continues to enhance its international integration capabilities, strengthen supply chain connectivity, and  its position in the regional and global logistics network.

Attending the opening day of the event for Long An International Port were Mr. Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Quynh Huong, Chief Executive Officer; and Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Vy, Deputy General Director. This year, Long An International Port once again left a strong impression with its large-scale exhibition booth, attracting considerable attention and visits from leaders of ministries, as well as numerous national and international businesses.

In the dynamic and engaging atmosphere, VILOG 2025 took place from July 31 to August 2, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, with strong support from the Import-Export Department and the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA). With the theme Green Logistics – the Foundation for Sustainable Development VILOG 2025 highlighted the power of digital solutions and collaborative connectivity in driving a sustainable and efficient logistics industry, attracting significant attention from businesses, partners, and visitors.

The event demonstrated remarkable development in both scale and quality, featuring 480 booths from 350 enterprises representing 20 countries and territories. Exhibitors underscored cutting-edge equipment, products, services, and advanced technology solutions. In addition to its exhibition and business networking activities, VILOG has established itself as a trusted industry forum, offering a series of specialized seminars that deliver tangible value and provide deep, timely insights into the domestic and global logistics landscape. 

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: “The Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition 2025 marks an important milestone, serving as a gathering place for logistics enterprises and setting the direction for a more sustainable future. By emphasizing the importance of green logistics as the foundation for sustainable development, we aim to inspire meaningful dialogue, foster valuable connections, and accelerate the implementation of environmentally responsible changes.”

During the event, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, along with other delegates, visited the booth and explored the service solutions offered by Long An International Port. Through media coverage and updates shared by the port’s representatives, it was noted that Long An International Port successfully signed a cooperation agreement on the afternoon of July 30, 2025, with its strategic partners, SPG Bohaiwan Port – Shandong Port Cluster, China (SPG Group) and Bohwa Shipping (shipping line). Mr. Tran Thanh Hai expressed appreciation of the port’s efforts and achievements, adding, “Congratulations to Long An International Port and its partners on a sustainable and effective collaboration that will contribute to the long-term development of Vietnam’s logistics industry.”

Long An International Port Strongly Committed to Sustainable Development

Vietnam’s green growth strategy for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, sets clear goals for “greening” economic sectors, including the development of green logistics, such as green logistics centers and green ports. Long An International Port has demonstrated strong determination through strategic action plans aimed at driving the sustainable development of Vietnam’s logistics industry.

In recent years, Long An International Port has continuously improved operational efficiency, embracing both digital transformation and green transformation through the use of renewable energy, resource efficiency, process optimization, waste and emission reduction, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. Facilities at the port are equipped with solar panel systems, energy-saving LED lighting, and advanced management technologies (CATOS, MOST). The truck fleet meets Euro-5 standards, and 100% of its cranes are electric-powered. The port is also actively researching the adoption of electrically powered and renewable battery-operated handling equipment, with a goal of implementing shore power by 2030.

Long An International Port plays a vital role in the global economic chain, particularly in logistics and supply chain operations. It is not only a hub for international cargo handling but also a center for transportation and distribution activities. Strategically located at the gateway to the Mekong Delta, the port serves as a critical network in completing the regional logistics chain, enabling goods to be transported around the world.
