On November 5, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Long An International Port joined the 2025 Korea–Vietnam Offshore Tech Connect (KVOTC 2025), reaffirming its role as a key logistics gateway for large-scale renewable energy and offshore industrial projects.

Strategic Pillar: Power Development Plan VIII towards Net Zero 2050
Vietnam is accelerating its energy transition with a national commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050. Within this strategy, Offshore Wind Power has been identified as a major pillar under Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8). With over 3,000 km of coastline and a growing port infrastructure network, Vietnam possesses the potential to become a regional hub for offshore industry and energy development across Asia.
KVOTC 2025 gathered key stakeholders including representatives from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, Busan Port Authority, Samsung Heavy Industries, the Vietnam Maritime Administration (VINAMARINE), and more than 30 leading Korean industrial corporations, alongside strategic Vietnamese partners in energy, maritime, and offshore sectors.

Reaffirming Long An International Port’s Position through Comprehensive Solutions

During the conference, Long An International Port’s representative delivered a presentation titled “Comprehensive Port and Logistics Solutions for Offshore Projects and Related Industries in Vietnam.”
The presentation highlighted the port’s capability to deliver end-to-end logistics solutions tailored for offshore wind and industrial supply chains, covering marine terminal operations, heavy-lift handling, project cargo, and integrated onshore support services. It also emphasized opportunities for deeper collaboration and joint ventures with Korean enterprises within the global offshore supply chain network.
This event served to reinforce Long An International Port’s role in the region as a strategic infrastructure hub, ready to serve heavy industry projects and contribute to Vietnam’s sustainable maritime economy and renewable energy objectives.
