Vietnam has developed in many fields and is certainly poised to become an economic powerhouse in Southeast Asia. Similarly, India is also developing very fast, with success stories emerging daily. I also noted that there are numerous projects and industrial parks in Long An calling for investment and looking to cooperate with businesses around the world, including India. Recently, our Consulate General received many proposals on cooperation, training, research, governance, and smart business. Therefore, I encourage Can Giuoc District and units in Long An Province to continue sharing proposals for connecting with companies in India. Specifically in the port sector, large Indian corporations are closely monitoring possible opportunities for cooperation in Vietnam. Therefore, we look forward to further in-depth discussions in this area. I will definitely come back this year to facilitate exchanges and explore opportunities for cooperation with Long An Province, particularly with Indian investors.”
Two years ago, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City came to Long An International Port with the Prime Minister of Vietnam. During this visit, Dr. Sethi observed the port’s remarkable developments including substantial investments in the world’s most advanced modern equipment and impressive operational capacity. He expressed high regard for the strategic vision, positioning, and development initiatives of Long An International Port and reiterated the importance of fostering connections for cooperation between the port and Indian businesses in the future.
In response to the warm welcome and hospitality of Long An Province and Long An International Port, the delegation representative said. “Approximately 1,000 Indian travelers visit Vietnam daily, with around 20% of them traveling for business purposes. These guests are eager to engage in business exchanges. I am very happy to accept the proposal from Long An International Port and Can Giuoc District leaders to organize a meeting with investors, arrange a business trip to India, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities.”
In order to gain more clarity about the current projects and potential for future cooperation, the delegation also explored the various facilities at Long An International Port such as the berths, warehouses, industrial park, service area, urban area, as well as Indochina’s tallest flagpole project. The event concluded successfully, fostering people-to-people exchanges, promoting peace, and strengthening the friendship between India and Vietnam. This visit serves as a testament to the positive and friendly relationship between the two localities and holds great potential for future collaboration.
