On September 16, 2023, ZIM Vietnam LLC visited Long An International Port to witness the progress of the port’s development and to serve as an educational trip for ZIM Vietnam’s new joiners. The day’s events culminated in a football friendly match between ZIM Vietnam LLC and Long An International Port at the sports center of the port in Can Giuoc District, Long An Province. The event was attended by key officials and employees of both companies, who gathered to enjoy a fun-filled and active Saturday morning. From ZIM Vietnam LLC, Mr. Abraham Elias, Managing Director, led the team from the carrier, while the port’s team was led by Mr. Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of Long An Port JSC.
ZIM Vietnam LLC Team visited the port facilities to survey the port’s capabilities
Prior to the friendly match, ZIM Vietnam LLC toured the port facilities to survey the container handling capabilities of Long An International Port which was recently launched in June 2023. The group visited the newly connected 7 berths, new STS and RTG cranes from Japan, and other recently completed construction works for the launch of the port’s container handling services on top of existing logistics services such as bulk and general cargo handling, warehousing and yard storage, multimodal transportation, freight forwarding and customs brokerage.

The supporters of each team were treated to exciting back-to-back goals as the players tried to steal the lead from each other. The final victory was snatched in the last few minutes by the ZIM Vietnam team ending with a 1-goal lead over Long An International Port’s footballers.
