On June 24, Long An International Port was honored to receive the Certificate of Vietnam Record and Indochina Record for the tallest Flagpole Tower from Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings).

The flagpole of Long An International Port is built from steel pipes with a height of 63 meters (from base to tip) representing 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam; the 54-square meter flag represents 54 ethnic groups.

Mr. Vo Quoc Thang, Chairman of Dongtam Group, said that the national flagpole project with the design idea of ​​the image of a ship reaching out to sea was started on June 30, 2020, applying techniques and modern materials to ensure the construction will remain durable for hundreds of years even in harsh climate conditions. Mr. Thang said that this is the symbol of gratitude of Dongtam Group employees to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to preserve the homeland of Can Giuoc, Long An and are forever part of this place.

At the ceremony, the representative of Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) announced the decision to set the Vietnamese record for the tallest steel pipe flagpole in Vietnam and the tallest in Indochina.
