Long An International Port, from its inception and throughout its development, has aimed for green and sustainable growth.

To achieve this, we focus on:

Promoting a Green Port:

  • We regularly conduct training sessions for our staff on environmental protection awareness and resource conservation.
  • Our container bus project, which we are currently researching, is designed to enhance inland waterway transportation, reduce costs, and minimize emissions.

Clean Energy:

  • We have a warehouse system installed with solar panels, with a capacity of over 10 MW.
  • Our future direction includes the use of shore power (aiming towards 2030).

Green Energy:

  • We employ energy-efficient LED lighting solutions (saving 75% of energy and lasting 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs), solar lighting for landscaping, architecture, and illumination.
  • We optimize operational efficiency of the port with modern equipment, infrastructure, and advanced technology (CATOS, MOST).
  • Our new fleet of trucks meets Euro 5 standards (world standards for reducing emissions).
  • Our cranes are 100% electric-powered (the full lifecycle of one RTG crane results in 5,400 tons of CO2 emissions if diesel-powered).
  • In the future, we will explore the use of operating equipment powered by electricity or renewable energy sources.

IT Applications:

  • We utilize autogate software for port entry and exit registration.
  • Online connectivity for organizational management, meetings, etc.

Resource Utilization:

  • We always prioritize the use of environmentally friendly and recyclable materials.
  • We practice water conservation.

Environmental Protection:

  • We adopt solutions to prevent air pollution.
  • Vehicles entering the port must meet state emission standards.
  • Greenery is spread throughout the premises to create a pleasant environment, provide shade, and promote environmental friendliness.
