Job description
- Receive documents related to vessel/barge and yard turnaround plans from the Operations Shift Supervisor/Operations Dispatch Supervisor and implement the assigned plans.
- Check and verify container numbers and seal numbers against import/export lists. Prepare incident reports for damaged containers/seals or discrepancies between actual information and the import/export lists.
- Inspect the condition of containers being loaded onto or discharged from vessels/barges, prepare damage reports, and notify relevant parties.
- Perform container receiving and delivery operations between vessels/barges and the yard: confirm and update container numbers and truck numbers in the CATOS system via handheld devices, tablets, VMT, etc. Guide crane operators and truck drivers to position containers correctly according to the designated yard/vessel plan.
- Coordinate signalmen, workers, crane operators, and terminal tractors within the assigned area to ensure safe and efficient operations and achieve productivity targets.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to handle operational incidents involving containers, cranes, trucks, or other equipment within the assigned area, and provide support when required.
Requirement
- Male candidates are preferred, aged 20–35.
- Technical/Vocational Diploma or higher in Maritime Transport Economics, Inland Waterway and Road Transport Economics, Multimodal Transport, Logistics, or other related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in container terminal operations. Good English communication skills.
- Good understanding of maritime operations, sea transportation, port operations, and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of container handling, loading and discharging, and container receiving/delivery procedures at Ports, ICDs, and Depots.
- Able to use port cargo handling and terminal management software.
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and work in shifts.
